I'm New to the League

Welcome! If you're new to CWSA, here are some key items you may need help with:

Finding a Team

Check out the CWSA's Player Network to connect with a team.

Individuals in our league are all signed to a team; we don't build "singles teams" or accept individual registrations.  We DO facilitate connecting new players to teams by posting notices on behalf of players or teams on our Player Network page.  

New players can join the league at any point in the year, there is no player registration deadline!

Joining a Team

Once you have been recruited to a team, a Team Official (Coach/Manager) will send you a registration invite link and/or a team invite code. You will then need to create an account an register to your team. all team registrations are completed online. Prior to playing in your first game, you must register to your team and get a CWSA ID card.

CWSA ID Cards

• All players and Team Officials in the CWSA require a CWSA issued photo identification card. ID cards must be presented to the referee at EVERY game, no exceptions.
• Please bring government issued ID with you when you come to get your card (Driver's Licence, Passport, etc.)
• New cards MAY ONLY be created when a player visits the CWSA Office in SE Calgary (see Contact Us page for address, directions, and office hours).
• Players must be registered to a team before an ID card can be issued. Your coach or team manager will send you a registration link to join your team
• Book an appointment to get your CWSA ID Card.
• Cards are $15. We accept cash, debit, visa, mastercard and e-transfers.

Rules

New players should familiarize themselves with the CWSA's Rules & Regulations, Policies and Discipline Code which can all be found on our Governance page.

League call-up charts for guest players playing up to other teams can be found on the Call-up Charts page. These charts are updated each season.
