  • Games will be played 7v7 (7 players on the field for each team, including the goalkeeper).
  • A minimum of 5 players are required per team to start and maintain a game.
  • Each game will consist of two (2) 25 minute halves with a maximum 3 minute half-time break.
  • A maximum of 16 players and 1 non-playing team official can be listed on the game sheet. Only those listed on the game sheet may be on the team bench.
  • 7v7 is to be played on the Red lined fields (Quarter field)
  • Game clocks will start at the scheduled time. If play is not able to commence within the 5 minutes of the designated game start time due to one or both teams not being prepared to play (insufficient players, incomplete game sheet, lack of player cards, & being prepared to present players cards to official) the game shall be cancelled and the team(s) responsible noted on the game sheet.
  • There is no stop time.
  • There are NO OFFSIDES.
  • There are no restrictions on goalkeeper distribution or goal kicks.
  • Throw-ins instead of Kick-ins.
  • An unlimited number of players may be substituted at any single stoppage in play, and at the discretion of the Referee.
  • The ball is out of play when it touches the ceiling or building structure overhanging the field of play.
    • Restart: Throw-in to the opponents of the player last touched the ball, at the touchline closest to where the ball touched the ceiling or structure.
  • Free Kicks: Opposing players must be 6 yards from the ball, prior to the kick being taken
  • Red Card: If an on-field player is ejected, the team plays short-handed for the rest of the game.

Mask Protocols


  • Masks are to be worn upon entering the building, up until the player steps onto the field. As soon as the game finishes all players must put on their masks BEFORE leaving the field.


  • Masks are to be worn 100% of the time while within the facility


  • Masks are to be worn 100% of the time while within the facility

All masks must cover the nose and the mouth.

Do not pull down your mask or take if off when speaking to other people

Facility Rules

The Calgary West Soccer Centre -  COVID-19 Guidelines and Protocols.

  • A change room will be provided to teams, 15 minutes ahead of booking only. (Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before game time)
  • There will be no access to change rooms following the field time.
  • Spectators are limited to 5 per team
    • It is the responsibility of each team to manage the numbers and behaviour of their spectators
    • Each team must keep contact tracing records for their spectators for a minimum of 4 weeks
    • Spectators will have access to the field/bubble five (5) minutes prior to the start of the game 
  • Participants and spectators must vacate the facility immediately after the game finishes. 
  • There is a strict "No Stop" zone between the entrance of the facility, through the lobby.

Macron Performance Centre (Foothills Fieldhouse) - COVID Facility Guidelines

  • Arrive no more than 15 minutes before game time
  • Teams will access the spectator viewing level through the outside stairwell to the north side of the spectator area.
    • There will be areas for teams to get ready on team assigned benches in the spectator viewing level.
    • Once ready and if the field is open, players/coaches can walk down the stairwell to the player field entrance inside the facility.
  • Participants must vacate the facility immediately after the game finishes through designated doors (please see map below).
  • Spectators are NOT PERMITTED.
