Fields for Our Future
CWSA is supporting the Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) and its Fields for Our Future campaign to advocate for more soccer facilities in Calgary.
With public input on the City’s 2027-2030 budget beginning November 23, now is an important opportunity for Calgary’s soccer community to make its voice heard.
What’s Being Proposed?
Fields for Our Future is advocating for the City to advance construction funding for the following facilities:
-
2 new fieldhouses: Rocky Ridge Fieldhouse and Southland Fieldhouse
-
4 new turf fields: Two at New Brighton Athletic Park and two at Belmont Athletic Park
These facilities would help address Calgary’s need for soccer infrastructure and benefit players, teams and associations across the city. The campaign is also advocating for facilities that meet the standards needed for quality league and tournament play, including appropriate field sizes and configurations, and spaces for players, referees and spectators.
