Scholarships


 
The Calgary Women’s Soccer Association (CWSA) Scholarship was created in 2010 to recognize the accomplishments of its female members.
Three scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each year. The money is funded through the members of the Calgary Women’s Soccer Association.

The application period for the CWSA Scholarships is from August to September each year. Please check back in August for the application form and instructions.
 

2026 CWSA Scholarships

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to apply, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be either:
    • A registered player on a CWSA Indoor 2025-2026 and/or Outdoor 2026 team who has participated in at least 50% of their team’s matches in either season; OR
    • An active female referee who has officiated at least 20 CWSA matches during the CWSA Indoor 2025-26 and/or Outdoor 2026 seasons.
  • Be in good standing with the league (no outstanding discipline or fines).
  • Be a resident of Alberta.
  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
  • Registered as a full-time student, or accepted for full-time enrollment, at a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada in a program leading to a post-secondary credential (such as a degree, diploma, or certificate).

 APPLICATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM MST.

The three (3) highest-ranked eligible applicants will receive a $1,000 scholarship, as determined by the CWSA Awards Committee.
