Scholarships


 
The Calgary Women’s Soccer Association (CWSA) Scholarship was created in 2010 to recognize the accomplishments of its female members.
Three scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each year. The money is funded through the members of the Calgary Women’s Soccer Association.

The application period for the CWSA Scholarships is from mid-August to September 30 each year. Please check back in August for the application form and instructions.
 
2024 CWSA Scholarships

Applications will open on August 21, 2024.  The deadline to apply is September 30, 2024.

The three (3) highest ranked applicants will receive a $1,000 scholarship as determined by the CWSA Awards Committee.

2024 Eligibility:

Applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Applicant must be:
    • A resident of Alberta
    • A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
    • A CWSA member in good standing.
    • Registered as a player on a CWSA Indoor 2023-24 or Outdoor 2024 team.
    • Registered as a full time student at any post-secondary institute in a program leading to a degree, diploma or certificate (distance learning is acceptable). 
      • Current high school students or applicants with only high school transcripts to submit are NOT eligible.

2024 Applicants will be required to submit the following:

1. Cover Letter
2. CV/Resume
3. Reference Letter(s) demonstrating the Applicants outstanding qualities in areas of leadership, community spirit and involvement in extra-curricular activities
4. Proof of enrollment in a post-secondary institute
5. Transcript (most recent academic year) at post-secondary institute (unofficial transcripts accepted, high school transcripts not accepted.)
Failure to submit all the items above will result in disqualification
