We need to inform you of a new legislation requirement that will appear during player registration this indoor season.
On September 1, 2025, the Government of Alberta enacted the Fairness and Safety in Sport Act and Fairness and Safety in Sport Regulation. Under this legislation, all athletes registering in female-only leagues, classes, or divisions (age 12 and older) are required to confirm that they meet the eligibility requirement of female sex at birth.

This is a government-mandated requirement for all sport organizations in Alberta, and we are required by law to include it in our registration process.

Why am I being asked this question?
