Register to take the Entry Level Referee Course
Refereeing soccer can be any or all of the following:
- A part time job with excellent money making opportunities.
- A rewarding way of putting back into the game.
- A way to keep yourself in shape.
- An opportunity to learn important life skills such as organization, time management, people skills.
- Potential to advance as a referee to National levels or beyond.
- A way to be directly involved in some great soccer!
Entry Level Course
- Adults of any age are welcome and encouraged to sign up to become new referees.
- Youth participants must be a minimum of 14 years old to take the entry level referee course.
A 14 hour, introductory course for people 14 years or older (on or before May 15th), who would like to referee U11, 8v8, U13 and older 11v11, or act as an assistant referee (linesman) at any level. The course is made up of - online modules, in-person instruction, practical training session and an online exam.
The course covers:
- Referee and Assistant Referee duties and responsibilities
- The FIFA Laws of the Game (11v11 soccer)
- U11 8v8 Rules of the Game
- On-field practical training
Students are supplied with:
- FIFA Law Book
- U11 8v8 Rule Book
- Referee badge and whistle
- Yellow and red cards, referee wallet
